Barn House
A very exciting project working on one of the UK’s first carbon neutral modular home with architects Youngman Lovell. The first Barn House will be built near Bicester, sitting in a garden that has a sustainable and long-term vision in keeping with the ethos of the house. Drought-tolerant planting - and a wildflower meadow instead of a lawn - helps lessen the need for maintenance, and all the plants chosen provide for wildlife year round helping the architects work towards biodiversity net gain.
Dream for Trees
Designing and planting mini urban forests to help improve air quality and encourage ecological regeneration in urban areas. Tabi co-founded this charity in 2020 and continues to consult on projects across London. This initiative has received global press coverage, and we look forward to watching these pocket forests grow and become essential havens for wildlife.
STUDIO PEAKE
An elegant and colourful garden to complement interior designer Sarah Peake’s own bold and vibrant style. Her new home in South London has been fully renovated and we look forward to photographing this project upon completion. Granite setts provide a classic feel while more modern elements - such as using western cedar for the exterior steps and raised beds - link the garden to the new house extension.
CANONBURY STUDIO GARDEN
An atmospheric, immersive garden in Canonbury that provides a refuge for the busy young couple who live here. The studio is made from reclaimed materials, clad on the exterior in shou sugi ban charred timber and internally with cork. The planting is entirely focused on its wildlife benefits and from the beginning we have worked with a set of ecological principals to lessen our impact on the existing garden’s ecology.
Kensington Family Garden
With a bespoke seating area clad in timber and pebbles, carefully designed oak planters with scalloped edges, and plenty of space for cut flowers, this garden will hopefully be a joy to look at and be in. Bringing a bit of Provence to West Kensington with traditional materials that will age and give the garden a sense of timelessness. Interior designer Stella Weatherall brought us onto this incredibly exciting townhouse renovation.
REDLEAF
A modern home in North London being taken back to its arts and crafts roots. We worked with the architects Olympia Nesti and interior designer Kerri Lipsitz to bring a bold new vision to the garden which is mainly viewed through a tall glass extension. The planting consists of a palette of purely white flowers alongside many shades of green and silver.
WINTER GARDEN
An exciting new project in Virginia Water. The client wants to make use of the garden year round - so in the summer the bespoke pergola and chemical-free pool will come into their own, but in the winter the pool will be left uncovered so as to act as more of a pond. The surrounding planting will provide sculptural interest, beautiful bark colour, and plenty of seed heads to make this a striking scene and provide lovely views from the house, no matter what the weather.
PORTOBELLO ROAD
For this eclectic new roof garden we designed a bespoke iroko seating area and firepit, introducing colour and vibrancy with terrazzo flooring and plenty of lush green planting. A collaboration with interior designer Emma Stevenson and Lucy Wood architects.
LAKE LUGANO
A design for a beautiful garden with views straight out over Lake Lugano in Como, Italy. We started working with this client remotely in lockdown in 2020 and are looking forward to visiting soon and developing the project.
WILDLIFE GARDEN
A large London garden designed for a passionate plantsman with wildlife in mind. A new pergola and terrace sit behind a meadow of grasses, bulbs and perennials chosen for their winter interest.
